Inlander was a brilliant draughtsman. In the early 1950’s renowned art critic and writer, John Berger included Inlander in a book of drawings that explored the role of drawing in contemporary art. Inlander and Berger became friends. In a series of letters from Berger to me, he reiterated many times, that Inlander was exploring the relationship between drawing and painting in his art. Inlander left many small notebooks behind at his death. They are full of sketches. Here is a sample of one.
